To enter the star exhibit, each species must ascend the enclosure hierarchy with the majority of animal votes. The lead star will be the species that garners the most accolades from both enthusiastic fans and envious competitors.

Gaining support and accolades involves shrewd politicking, smart negotiations, and bold strategies. After all, there can be only one Zoo Mascot.

The ultimate question is: where are you going? This is the essence of Zoo Vadis.

Zoo Vadis evolves Reiner Knizia's classic negotiation game, Quo Vadis?, maintaining its sophisticated political gameplay while introducing several enhancements:

- Improving the 3-player experience and adapting the board for all player counts with neutral, bribable figures like roaming peacocks
- Extending the player range with an additional board for 6-7 players
- Diversifying strategic negotiation with unique animal abilities
- Adding tactical depth with new special laurel tokens
- Enhancing the theme and visuals with lively zoo illustrations by Kwanchai Moriya and Brigette Indelicato
- Revitalizing the production with substantial animal figures and practical player screens

Consistent with the original, the game concludes when the Star Exhibit fills up. Victory is only possible for animals in the Star Exhibit, with the winner being the player holding the most laurels.
